MARKET POTENTIAL

A rapid growth of ~30% in poultry meat consumption in India in the last 5 years indicates growth potential of poultry feed sector in the country.
India produced ~11 MMT of compound cattle feed in the previous year and even if 50 million milch animals are considered in India, there is a minimum requirement of 5 times more production.
With huge growth potential in Indian Shrimp exports, the shrimp feed industry is expected to experience further growth.
Feed safety is another aspect which is a major focus of the Indian government. As increasing production can’t be a solution until and unless safe food is produced.
~40% growth expected of South-Asian Poultry and Livestock industry in coming decade which India would play a major role.

By most accounts, the Indian feed sector appears ripe for new investment. A recent report by Research and Markets projects the Indian animal feed market, which was worth $4.9 billion in 2017, to reach $11.4 billion by 2023, with a compound annual growth rate of 14.5% during that period.
